Why do so many women wear leggings or yoga pants as pants? Don't

Answer (1 of 7): probably because they are very comfortable to wear. I wear them all the time, but I am young enough to still pull it off and I am in great shape. I have seen many wearing them that are very overweight, and that is not a pretty sight for sure.

Some people say that it's not appropriate for guys to wear yoga pants/leggings in public places. What makes women more comfortable wearing them compared to men doing so (in terms of comfort)?
